You may know her voice as the voice of the hugely popular Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon, or maybe as Ruby from Max and Ruby, Alex from Totally Spies and more recently as Sam Sparks in the animated series Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs, a role which garnered her a Canadian Screen Award nomination. Or maybe you know her from Superbuns or as the new character on the highly popular Total Drama Island.
No matter where you’ve heard her winning voice, we promise you Katie Griffin is not a loveable animated character (although you will find her signing autographs as one at Comicon). She is a real live human, one of Canada's pre-eminent voice actors, who has spent the majority of her 30-year career inside a recording booth, voicing commercials, cartoons, and jingles. On the rare occasion that
Katie does venture out of the recording booth, she can be found playing hockey, curating her enormous VHS collection of Kung Fu movies, denouncing the use of raisins in any form, and cheering on the Blue Jays (softly, of course, to protect her voice) with her husband and two sons.
